The "Hisho" in Hishosha means "to soar into the sky." It evokes the image of the English phrase "Leap into the sky."
Are you familiar with the phrase, "The sky is the limit"? A literal translation would be "the sky is the limit," but in reality, the sky extends into space and truly has no end. In other words, there are no limits to the sky. Therefore, the meaning of "The sky is the limit" is, "Your potential is limitless, just like the vast sky that stretches into space."
The human brain shines brighter the more it is trained. Just like the vast expanse of the sky, it can absorb an infinite amount of information. Hishosha is a company that supports everyone striving to spread their wings and soar into the vast sky through book publishing.
In addition, the Hishosha building will house the "Institute of Science and Engineering Mathematics" as an affiliated research institute.
Ultimately, in order to think about things logically, knowledge and methods of mathematics or arithmetic are necessary.
Unfortunately, we often hear people say they've come to dislike mathematics or have given up on it. However, mathematics is not a difficult subject if you build upon the fundamentals. Our research institute aims to support those who want to study mathematics from the basics again, through lectures, seminars, and networking opportunities.
Hishosha is a small, newly established company, but its aspirations reach as far as the sky.

Representative's Greeting
The present age is called the age of uncertainty, also known as the VUCA age. VUCA is an acronym for volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. It refers to volatility, instability, complexity, and ambiguity. Completely unexpected things happen in the world, such as the spread of COVID-19 and Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
In this VUCA era, what should we do? The answer is simple.
It's about improving yourself.
Furthermore, it's necessary to think for yourself and make judgments, rather than blindly accepting others' opinions. This is where critical thinking skills become essential. It's the ability to analyze the current situation based on solid evidence and solve problems through logical thinking.
With the development of the internet, vast amounts of data can now travel the world in an instant. Furthermore, advancements in digital technology mean that knowledge far exceeding what a human being could absorb in a lifetime can now be stored on tiny chips. It's even said that with the internet, encyclopedias and books become unnecessary.
However, knowledge alone is meaningless. It only becomes useful when it is put to use. What is necessary for this is called "reading, writing, and arithmetic." In English, these are called the 3Rs: "reading," "writing," and "arithmetic."
"Reading" refers to the ability to understand what the writer is trying to say by reading a text.
"Writing" refers to the ability to accurately convey one's thoughts to others through written words. "Abacus" refers to the ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and to be able to pay attention to numbers on a daily basis. In modern times, "abacus" also includes basic digital skills.
If you have a solid grasp of these fundamentals, you will not lose yourself even in the VUCA era, and you will not be defeated by AI (artificial intelligence). I believe that in order to acquire the "ability to utilize knowledge," it is important to carefully read books written by authors who can think logically. The internet is overflowing with information, but unfortunately it is not systematized. You can acquire fragmented knowledge, but it is not suitable for acquiring systematic knowledge.
Books are filled with the author's truly living wisdom, and sometimes they can even evoke feelings of profound emotion when you read them.
My dream is to publish excellent books that many people can consider lifelong companions.

Graduated from the Department of Metallurgy, Faculty of Engineering, University of Tokyo.
Completed doctoral program in engineering at the same university.
After serving as a researcher at Nippon Steel's First Technical Research Institute and as the head of the 7th Research Laboratory at the Superconductivity Engineering Research Institute
Professor at Shibaura Institute of Technology.
He served as president of the university from April 2012 to March 2021.
